It's entirely natural that after working for more than thirty years in the business of importing and exporting aluminium tubing (Air Traffic Controller), that I would retire, leave Scotland - my workplace/home of the last twelve years - and relocate to Shrewsbury in order to concentrate on my lifelong interest in art... isn't it?
That is not to say that I haven't indulged in art during my long aviation career. Indeed, the life of a shift worker has provided me ample opportunity to paint and collect art, with the added advantage of supplying a ready stream of colleagues and friends who have commissioned paintings from me.
Now working from The Raven Studios, Shrewsbury - I am busy experimenting with different styles and have recently concentrated on producing much smaller scale work than I am generally used to. That said, my paintings remain acrylic on canvas, and are delivered in my trademark: bright, colourful, graphic and vibrant style.
You can view more of my work on Instagram @nigelbradeyart and please contact me should you wish discuss any commission ideas, or discuss a purchase.
And yes! That is Brady, but with an e. Bradey.
