Welcome to my profile page and to my creations.
I design and create handwoven items on my hand looms in my studio using natural fibres: cotton, wool, linen, silk, soybean, bamboo and alpaca in the main. I also like to experiment with new fibres to create new textures and to give my work different characteristics.
Some of my creations use my handspun yarns which I have hand dyed. I love playing with colour and texture to create a variety of effects.
My inspiration comes from plants, flowers, trees and birds in my garden and the surrounding Shropshire countryside.
I have been weaving, spinning and dyeing for many years and offer workshops in my studio for individual tuition on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10.30am - 4pm so that I can pass on my passion for handwoven textiles to other like-minded people. It’s such fun, relaxing and theraputic (when it works!). It’s not difficult to do, it’s purely knowing how to do it.
