Louise Ryley

Being lucky enough to have a Rudolph Steiner education, where art had been a part of everyday life, I followed a natural path to Art School studying Graphic Design and Visual Communication.and worked for many years as a Graphic Designer and Art Director. I later settled down in beautiful Shropshire on a Dairy Farm. Having spent much time raising the children and redesigning the farmhouse and garden I am finally able to paint! I have developed my portrait painting using old masters techniques but also try to create a softness and light, giving them a slightly more impressionist feeling.
