Anne Bremridge VAN Profile 04/09/2018 

While I consider myself primarily a painter, my artwork does include 3-dimensional work in stone carving, clay sculpture and modelling. 

Colour has always been important to me and early influences include the work of Cezanne, VanGogh, Gauguin and Matisse.

I draw inspiration from my immediate surroundings but also allow my feelings and unconscious to determine the direction of a piece which can result in a more abstract and surreal  image.

I have also worked from life models. 

When I lived in New Zealand I exhibited regularly in group and solo shows and while based in London I showed some work in New Zealand House.
