A lifelong creative (I remember drawing when I was a very young child), I went to art college in the early 80's studying Fashion & Textiles, and went on to work in the clothing industry for many years. After I left that world behind, I had the opportunity to rent a studio in the village where we lived, and offered art classes and workshops for children and adults for a couple of years until the owners sold up and emigrated. I then set up a bespoke cake design business and created wedding and occasion cakes for 10 years before retiring from that industry. I'm fortunate that I have an art workroom at home and now that I'm semi-retired I'm able to create pretty much to my heart's content. I love to paint, draw, collage, craft, print and write. The simple joy of having art materials to play with in a space that's entirely my own will never grow dim.
