hi my name is Brain Brookes i was born and bread in silverdale so in my teens i worked in the steel foundry and down the pits where all of my family worked . since then ive worked in the building trade up until covid hit and i was ferlowed eventualy being made redundent.
My partner Shirl who is who i live with now in Wem is a coulour pencil and graphite artist and also paints on slate and wood . She has tried alot of crafts and has alot i mean alot of crafty bits and pieces hat she has never used . So during the lockdowns to keep bsy i started having ago at this crafting malarky just to ass the time . I enjoyed the fluid paints so much we have ahoouse full of paintings that i havent sold . i was lucky enought o sell some at craft fairs and in shirls Etsy shop. I used resin to pour over some of the pictures then watched all these yutubers making all these wonderful resin crafts i invested in all the stuff i needed to try and make a few things ,still just to pass the time , i was lucky enough to sell a few bits. Shirl Ran her own stall but due to some health issues she couldnt manage working at a day job and keep up with the stall aswell so i gave it a try . i now do a handfull of markets each week plus local fairs selling mostly my resin crafts and a few of Shirls bits and pieces when she has time to make. I also do wild life photography its been an ongoing hobby for a few years which ive gotten better overtime , i enjoy wildlife ive always been that way and love to photograph our foxes hares and badgers ,otters owls and more . .
